Senior Compliance Manager - Monitoring and Reporting – Salary circa £70,000
We have an exciting opportunity for a senior compliance professional to join our newly established Group Compliance Monitoring and Reporting team! This is a fantastic role for a proactive team player with extensive experience working in an FCA regulated environment in a compliance / conduct risk position. A bit about the job:
You will report to and support the Head of Group Compliance and Conduct Monitoring and Reporting and Group Compliance and Conduct Director to ensure the function operates effectively, adds value, and makes a trusted contribution across the organization.
You will be responsible for supporting the establishment and operation of the newly created Group Compliance Monitoring and Reporting team within Group Compliance and Conduct.
As part of the role, you will:
* Assess the effectiveness of 1st line compliance programs, perform targeted, risk-based monitoring reviews across group functions, and produce insightful reports to support control optimization and good customer outcomes.
* Support the development of monitoring standards and new ways of working, including leveraging data and technology to benefit Markets and Group Functions.
* Support the production of insightful Regulatory Compliance and Conduct reports for the Group Board Risk Committee and Group Customer and Sustainability Committee, and prepare other reports as needed for Group Regulatory Compliance and Conduct.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration on regulatory compliance and conduct matters. Also, develop and deliver training to employees on these topics as required.
* Support Solvency II compliance reviews, if required.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Experienced Financial Services professional with direct experience working in or with Conduct and Compliance teams.
* Curiosity and experience in developing methodologies and frameworks.
* A successful record of performing assurance and investigative work as part of a team, and drafting meaningful, insightful reports for senior stakeholders.
* Experience or curiosity to learn about using data to inform and target work more effectively.
* Strong communication (verbal and written) and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
