<div><h3>About the Role</h3><p>Leeds City College are recruiting a Course Leader for the Digital Arts department at Quarry Hill Campus. The role involves managing the planning and delivery of the course, overseeing assessment and progress tracking for a cohort of students.</p><p>The course covers a range of disciplines including T‑Level – Digital Development, Programming, Game engines, 3D modelling, Game art, 2D graphics, Game design, Narrative design.</p><h3>What You Will Do</h3><ul><li>Plan the delivery of subject matter and create lessons and teaching resources aligned with curriculum objectives.</li><li>Deliver principles and practical skills to support students progression to careers in digital and media.</li><li>Assess student work and provide feedback to aid development.</li><li>Work as part of a team to create a nurturing, positive environment.</li><li>Oversee the course development and operation, including student retention, progress, and quality of delivery.</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><ul><li>Up-to-date knowledge of your subject specialism.</li><li>Capability to strategise and coordinate curriculum delivery.</li><li>Degree in Media Studies, Computer Games or a related discipline.</li><li>Holding, or working toward, a recognised teaching qualification.</li><li>Enthusiastic and committed to the development and growth of the department.</li><li>Comfortable delivering to groups of young people.</li><li>Ability to apply restorative practice and be a proactive, flexible, supportive team member.</li><li>Experience ensuring courses meet college-wide quality assurance policies.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Annual leave: 44 days plus bank holidays.</li><li>Curriculum and management leave: 39 days plus bank holidays.</li><li>Pension schemes – teachers’ pension, local government pension, people’s pension.</li><li>CPD opportunities: annual staff conference and two additional staff development days.</li><li>Qualifications: PGCE, apprenticeships, leadership and management courses.</li><li>Employee wellbeing: family friendly policies, discounted spa and gym.</li><li>Travel and commuting: discounts on Metro, Northern Rail, First Bus, Arriva Bus, and Cycle to work schemes.</li><li>Flexible and hybrid working opportunities (details to be discussed).</li></ul><h3>Safeguarding</h3><p>All successful applicants must complete mandatory pre‑employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check and online checks, and provide two satisfactory references.
