This is a front-facing, relationship-driven role at the heart of our T Level programmes. T Level students complete a minimum of 315 hours in a real workplace. These placements are critical to their success and to the credibility of our programmes. Every placement you secure has a real impact on a young person's future career.
About The Role
As a Business Engagement Specialist, you will build and manage a pipeline of employer partners to ensure every T Level student has access to meaningful placements. You will work closely with tutors and curriculum teams to match students to the right opportunities and maintain high-quality, active placements.
Your primary focus will be building and securing T Level industry placements. At the same time, you will support employers with their recruitment and workforce challenges, positioning apprenticeships, training and wider college partnerships as part of their long-term talent pipeline.
What You Will Be Doing
Proactively sourcing and securing T Level placements across multiple sectors
Building long-term relationships with local employers and becoming their trusted contact
Identifying business needs and presenting placements as part of their future talent pipeline
Tracking progress, maintaining engagement and resolving issues professionally
Supporting apprenticeship conversations where progression opportunities arise
This is a permanent, part-time role working 27.5 hours per week (FTE 0.74), based at any of our Oxfordshire campuses, with hybrid working available.
Our standard working pattern is 09:00-14:30, Monday to Friday; however, we can offer flexibility in how these hours are worked.

Experience in recruitment, business development, sales or employer engagement
Confidence speaking to business leaders and decision-makers
A natural relationship builder, proactive and solutions-focused
Highly organised, able to manage a high-volume caseload and meet targets
Motivated by impact and supporting young people's careers
Interest in the education sector is desirable
