IT Network & Telecommunications Administrator
Salary: £36,000 - £48,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm (40 hours/week)
Location: Southampton office based

Purpose of the Role
Responsible for efficiently managing technology through tools and scripting. Organizes, leads, and coordinates with other IT parts to ensure system components are managed effectively.
* Designs and develops complex, integrated solutions to meet business needs or improve Garmin’s network and telecommunications performance.
* Performs cost analyses and vendor comparisons for projects to ensure cost-effective operations. Evaluates feasibility and makes recommendations.
* Continuously develops expertise on current and emerging network & telecommunications systems.
* Communicates effectively regarding system operations and changes.
* Adheres to SOX, PCI, and other regulatory standards.
* Ensures network & telecommunications systems meet capacity, redundancy, and health requirements.
* Ensures all security standards are met or exceeded.
* Demonstrates proficiency with standards and procedures.
* Communicates effectively in team settings.
* Aligns work with Garmin’s Mission Statement and Quality Policy.
* Mentors less experienced IT Administrators.
* Provides reliable solutions through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Performs and plans minor system upgrades.
* Uses tools and scripting for efficient management.
* Makes recommendations for improvements.
* Identifies system interdependencies.
* Coordinates cross-team changes.
* Participates in system or application planning.
* Leads meetings with IT users.
* Adapts well to change and welcomes feedback.
* Monitors security access levels.
Education & Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or 2 years of relevant experience, combined with education.
* Ability to solve moderately complex technical problems independently.
* Experience in successful technology implementation.
* Strong communication skills in small team environments.
* Effective documentation and organizational skills.
* Broad understanding of IT infrastructure, including Telephony systems like Avaya, SIP, and Microsoft Teams Voice.
