Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
* 3rd Level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or trade background
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
* Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety of all stakeholders in decision-making and execution.
* Lead by example, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of company-specific health & safety policies and procedures, integrating safety into discussions.
* Be fully aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (e.g., Lock Out Tag Out).
* Maintain a thorough understanding of project mechanical systems and track installation to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
* Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing commissioning implementation plans (CIPs).
* Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
* Coordinate that rooms or areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use, aligned with the construction program.
* Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to facilitate system installation and work progression.
* Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete works efficiently, streamlining electrical activity execution.
* Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities and sequences that enhance program delivery focusing on mechanical and CSA scopes.
* Chair and contribute to onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders.
* Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required.
* Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower levels.
* Review and ensure system stakeholders produce necessary documentation, including construction and commissioning programs, work trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs.
