Capgemini Financial Services is seeking a talented and experienced AWS Architect in Knutsford for a full‑time hybrid role.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
* Design and implement largescale distributed systems with a focus on resiliency, scalability and observability
* Define cloud native strategies and architectures for enterprise applications
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
* Create technical design specifications, reference architectures and reusable patterns
* Drive adoption of DevOps practices, CICD pipelines and automation across teams
* Lead and mentor teams in Agile delivery models and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and lifecycle
* Databases – Strong expertise in PostgreSQL plus experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB, Document DB)
* Infrastructure as Code – Hands‑on experience with Terraform and GitLab CICD
* Microservices / Containers – Deep knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration and containerized solutions
* DevOps Tools – Jenkins, GitLab and integration with various CICD tools
* Application Design – API‑first and event‑driven architectures and prior hands‑on experience with Kafka ecosystem
* Observability / Monitoring – Familiarity with tools for logging, metrics and tracing, especially ELK and other observe tools
* Excellent written and verbal communication for simplifying complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
* Ability to articulate technical solutions to business leaders and influence decision‑making
* Proven experience working with global distributed teams in enterprise environments
* Additional Requirements
* Knowledge of data modelling best practices and Agile methodologies
* Experience with Atlassian tools JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation
* Ability to own and drive projects end‑to‑end in an Agile environment
* Familiarity with ecosystem and platforms for faster onboarding
* Understanding of financial services domain, especially credit cards
* Knowledge of TOGAF principles and enterprise architecture frameworks
* AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Associate preferred
