ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Portfolio Analyst (PA) serves as a subject matter resource for specific T. Rowe Price investment strategies and represents those portfolios across the firm. The Senior PA primarily analyzes investment portfolios, develops institutional-level analysis, messaging, and content to inform stakeholders, with a focus on bond portfolios with sustainable investments and ESG characteristics.
The Senior PA collaborates with portfolio managers, specialists, and other senior analysts to ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of investment messages across regions and channels. The analysis and content support the firm's client service and asset retention efforts. The role requires adaptability to market and strategy changes, independence, collaboration, and project leadership.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Research & Analysis
* Conduct analysis on investment strategies considering market conditions, competitors, asset classes, and portfolio construction to support portfolio managers and specialists. Support marketing, sales, and client service efforts.
* Create custom analysis to address client concerns or inquiries quickly and globally.
* Maintain knowledge of markets, portfolios, ESG integration, and sustainable investment objectives to support strategies and new products.
* Develop and communicate investment messaging to effectively present analysis results to stakeholders.
* Deliver quarterly strategy updates with portfolio specialists to inform on investment results and views.
* Enhance expertise in investment data applications for analysis.
Support for Investment Professionals
* Assist and represent portfolio managers and specialists in responding to inquiries and creating content such as presentations and analysis.
* Support model portfolios and onboarding of mandates.
* Review and approve sales and marketing collateral from an investment perspective.
* Participate in client meetings and reviews as needed.
Franchise & Asset Class Support
* Build relationships within the organization to respond to client needs and navigate regulatory environments.
* Educate teams on portfolios and support RFPs and commentaries.
* Support full sales cycle activities and portfolio customization efforts.
* Enhance global brand awareness through collaboration with marketing and distribution teams.
* Mentor junior team members.
Minimum Qualifications
* At least 3 years of asset management experience.
* Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) or working towards it.
* Understanding of Fixed Income and corporate bonds.
* Interest in ESG issues.
* Knowledge of derivatives and market data services (Bloomberg, PORT, Haver).
* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
* Organizational navigation and relationship-building skills.
