The Role
A well-established UK manufacturer and interior fit-out specialist is looking to appoint a creative yet technically strong Designer to support the delivery of bespoke retail and commercial environments.
This position would suit someone who enjoys the full design journey – taking an initial concept and developing it into a detailed, production-ready solution that can be manufactured and installed accurately.
The projects range from retail display environments through to wider commercial interior spaces, with designs being produced specifically for in-house manufacture. Because of this, attention to detail is critical – design inaccuracies can translate directly into costly manufacturing errors.
You will therefore need to combine strong visual creativity with a highly methodical and precise approach to technical design.

Key Responsibilities
* Producing visually engaging 3D concepts and layouts for retail and commercial interiors
* Developing designs into accurate technical drawings ready for manufacture and installation
* Designing bespoke fixtures, fittings and display units tailored to client requirements
* Working closely with manufacturing and project teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable
* Selecting materials with consideration for durability, cost efficiency and sustainability
* Refining concepts based on client feedback and technical requirements
* Managing multiple design projects and working to agreed deadlines
What We’re Looking For
* Experience within retail interiors, shopfitting, display design or commercial interior design
* Strong proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit and Photoshop
* Ability to balance creative visual design with precise technical detailing
* Understanding of designing fixtures, fittings or furniture for manufacture
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
* A detail-focused approach where accuracy is a priority
