As an Assistant Construction Manager (M&E), you’ll help coordinate activities on site from the commencement of the project through to final commissioning and completion. Coordinate and deliver capital projects for National Grid and private clients within the Electrical Transmission business unit.
Oversee integration of design, construction, commercial, and programme elements to meet key milestones.
Support site teams with constructability reviews, safety documentation, and subcontractor coordination.
Liaise with clients, attend project meetings, and ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Contribute to early-stage planning, resource forecasting, procurement, and accurate record-keeping throughout the project lifecycle.
Extensive knowledge of the Electrical Transmission industry with competency to work on substations (up to 400kV) is essential!
NEC contract and HSE compliance knowledge
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel and work away
Effective relationship and stakeholder management
Ideally qualified to a suitable level in an Electrical / Mechanical Engineering discipline
