To be considered for the role of Nursery Practitioner (Level 3) you will have:
A minimum of a Level 3 Childcare related qualification.
GCSE or equivalent English and Mathematics Grade C or above (if Childcare Qualification achieved after September 2014).
A strong knowledge of EYFS frameworks and safeguarding
About the Nursery:
The Nursery is a registered charity and delivers high quality childcare and training. The nursery is set in extensive grounds in Caversham, Reading and the children have access to this outdoor area daily.
The Nursery offers fantastic Staff/Child ratios of 1:3 for under 2s and 1:4 capped for all children over 2yrs. This ensures that every childs needs, development, personality, and preferences are carefully understood and taken into consideration throughout every interaction, supporting the Nursery's child-centred approach. The children are offered a varied well-balanced menu which is freshly prepared on-site each day.

The role of a Nursery Practitioner (Level 3) within the Nursery involves:
Supporting the Room Leader in the day to day running of the designated room and nursery
Acting as a Key person to a number of children
Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of resources and equipment in the indoor and outdoor areas
Completing observations and ensuring that these are recorded accordingly
Planning and delivering activities that in line with the EYFS curriculum
Building strong relationships with parents and keeping a strong line of communication with them
Adhering to internal and external policies and regulations
Reporting and recording all incidents, as well as promoting a culture of safeguarding
