An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join the University of Bath’s vibrant and professional kitchen team.
In this key role, you will take responsibility for your own section, demonstrating leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to high culinary standards. You will also play an important role in supporting and mentoring junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
You will be working as part of a team of Chef de Parties and will receive ongoing support and guidance from our experienced Sous Chefs and Head Chef. Together, the team is committed to delivering exceptional food and service across a diverse and evolving menu offering.

About you
You will bring a proactive, adaptable, and positive approach to your work, supporting a wide range of responsibilities throughout your shift. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, you will respond effectively to pressure and changing priorities while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
As a motivated and experienced chef, you will have a passion for delivering exceptional food and an interest in developing others. You’ll have demonstrable experience in supervising kitchen staff and contributing creatively to menus. A sound understanding of food hygiene and workplace health and safety is essential.

Our outlets are open seven days a week, so this is a 5 over 7 contract. This will include working early mornings, late evenings, and weekend shifts in a vibrant kitchen setting.
This is a full-time contract, working 36.5 hours per week over 40 weeks of the year, with fixed time off (that includes personal holiday allowance) in accordance with the University's annual Academic year chart :
