Title - Semi-Skilled Handy PersonCompany SummaryWe are partnered with a global pharmaceutical company who are looking for a multi-skilled handyman to join there site near London.We have successfully placed time and time at this company with glowing reports.Role SummaryReporting to the Utility Supervisor, this role has responsibility for the reliable and compliant operation of the site wide Building and Utility Services and equipment serving all areas of the European Knowledge Centre (EKC) facility at Hatfield.The Buildings Fabrics Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, safety, and functionality of the site's infrastructure, including office environments, laboratories, and GMP production lines. Their primary responsibility is to oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of building fabrics to uphold regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.Main Dutyroutine inspections of building fabrics, identifying and addressing any defects, damages, or potential hazards.and execute preventative maintenance schedule for building fabrics, including but not limited to walls, ceilings, floors, partitions and lighting.with internal stakeholders and external contractors to schedule and oversee repairs, renovations, and installations.promptly to reactive calls via helpdesk, diagnosing issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and disruption.all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and GMP guidelines.accurate records of maintenance activities, including documentation of repairs, inspections, and inventory of materials.technical expertise and guidance to colleagues on matters related to building fabrics and infrastructure.Key ExperienceExcellent verbal and written English skills.Demonstrated experience in building maintenance or facilities management, preferably in a pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.Relevant vocational qualifications in building maintenance, engineering, or related field.Experience in diagnosing and repairing building fabric issues.With regulatory requirements and standards related to building maintenance in pharmaceutical environments.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Skills and attention to detail.If you would like to discuss this vacancy further or to discuss your career options in confidence, please contact Trae Cook-Appiah email: tcook-appiah@planet-pharma.co.ukIf this role isn’t suitable for you, please let us know if you can refer anyone – any recommendations are much appreciated!
