JOB PURPOSE:
To set, program and operate machining centres on small to medium batch precision components, machining precision parts to customer specifications and within ISO9001:2015 quality standards.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Machining low quantities of precision components - various materials.
* Producing components from present order book using existing programs, tooling and fixtures.
* Program and engineer from scratch, new components using primarily online programming processes.
* Ensure all first off components are to an acceptable standard.
* Ensure all production components are to an acceptable standard adjusting the machine and using in process inspection where required.
* Full knowledge of CNC workshop equipment, set, operate and programme.
* Liaising with Inspection Department to ensure that products produced are to the specifications required.
* Ability to resolve queries and problems to best of knowledge before escalating up to next level. Ensure minimum occurrence of errors and provide workable solutions.
* Responsible for adhering to health and safety rules and procedures.
* Conducting assigned tasks in a controlled and safe manner, paying particular respect to colleagues and Equipment.
* Present a positive attitude at all times and an adaptable approach to problems.
* Selecting the appropriate tooling for the job.
* Liaising with machine shop to ensure that products produced are to the specifications required.
* Ability to run multiple machining centres when required.
* Perform in process inspection operations.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Solid mechanical / engineering knowledge with indentured engineering apprenticeship, including the reading of engineering drawings and model requirements
* Offline programming knowledge advantageous: Fusion 360 & Gibbs
* Machine control systems: Mazatrol, Fanuc, XYZ & Citizen
* Good verbal and written communication skills, at all levels
* Numerical and literacy skills

SALARY:
Dependent on skills and aptitude
HOURS OF WORK:
40 hours per week
07:00am – 15:30pm, Mon - Fri
Lunch break - 30 mins per day
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £17.00-£19.00 per hour
