CS 32544 Late Shift CNC Turner £32,000 - £38,000 Leighton Buzzard Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced CNC Turners interested in working as a late shift CNC Turner (hours below) for an established precision engineering company in Leighton Buzzard. Benefits Salary depending on experience. Range £32-£38k per annum flat rate, however late shift premium is time plus a third. The position is full-time and permanent, and an immediate start is available. Hours are Monday - Wednesday 4.30pm - 3.30am, Thursday 4.30pm - 1.30am. Holidays are 28 days including Bank Holidays extra bonus holiday over the Christmas Period to ensure a full shutdown. Government Pension Scheme Health Care SchemeRequired Experience Proven time served experience in programming, setting and operating 2 axis turning machines. Ability to write new CNC programs long hand at the machine with little or no supervision. Experience programming using 'Manual Guide i' software. Experience programming using G codes. Also, editing prewritten programs, the full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, feeds. Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment. Producing one off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals. Excellent working knowledge of 2 axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances. Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards. Experience of Fanuc controls would be advantageous. Have a strong working history within the manufacturing industry within a machine shop environment. Have a hands-on, quality driven, positive, self-motivated manner in order to be able to hit the ground running. Confident in working on parts up to ¢300mm x 3m in length, using lifting equipment provided is preferred as some of our work can be large.
