Here at Electricity Asset Services (EAS), we are currently looking for an experienced and motivated 18th Edition Electrician to join our family run business. This role will be based at our head office in Lochgelly and sites throughout Central Scotland working 45 hours per week. This role involves travel; therefore, a full driving licence is required.

EAS specialise in procurement, design, management and execution of all works associated with High and Low voltage underground electricity networks on behalf of major framework contractors and Distribution Network Operators (DNO's).
We have over 40 years combined experience specific to our services offered such as HV/LV cable jointing and terminating, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, 24 hours emergency call out, project management and more. Our purpose is to positively contribute to the electrical industry- providing value to our clients, customer and our people.
Purpose
Asan 18th Edition Electrician, it is your responsibility to be capable of installing service cables into the cut-out position within each property, install trunking and ensure all cables are securely installed to ensure every job is carried out to health and safety standards, within the necessary timescales before the subsequent teams arrive at the property.
Overview of main duties and responsibilities
· Install and maintain electrical infrastructure (LV/HV distributions systems)
· Perform electrical inspections and fault finding
· Ensure compliance with the BS th Edition) and DNO standards
· Work from technical drawings and specifications
· Ensure health & safety regulations are adhered to on all jobs
· Carry out all enabling working
· The Installation of the new mains/service cable (low smoke specified)
· Replace meter boards and cut outs into each property
· Install trunking and ensure all cables are securely installed
· Install all service cables into the cut-out position within each property
· Fire stop the completed installation
· Maintain company image
· Work closely with engineers, network controllers and field operation teams
· Maintain detailed records of work, test results and reports
· Participate in standby or emergency responses
What you'll bring
In your role as 18th Edition Electrician, you will bring skills and knowledge to help complete projects within EAS. You will be 18th Edition Wiring Regulation certified and have experience in the utilities or energy distribution sector. You will have a safety – first mindset and provide leadership, guidance and support to your team and project manager to ensure the highest standard of quality and efficiency is maintained.
