We are currently in the process of redeveloping the hospital to provide a new state‑of‑the‑art facility for the residents of Hillingdon and beyond, supporting the best in the delivery of healthcare and future readiness. Senior Pharmacy Assistant – Dispensing Services.
Responsibilities
* Dispense medicines to outpatients and inpatients.
* Ensure good housekeeping in the dispensary by keeping benches and baskets clear of drugs no longer required.
* Organise and maintain medicine supplies within the dispensary.
* Resolve stock issues according to departmental procedures.
* Provide pharmacy dispensary support.
* Deal with enquiries from patients and healthcare staff.
* Undertake related clerical duties.
* Conduct training and supervise staff.
* Dispense and provide patient counselling.
* Provide top‑up service of stock items to wards and departments when required.
* Cover reception for outpatients and inpatients requiring use of digital systems.
* Demonstrate competence in the use of automated dispensing equipment and resolve operational issues.

Person Specification
Essential
* Minimum NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy services.
* Accepted standard of basic education to support above.
Desirable
* Recent previous experience working in pharmacy within the NHS.
* Previous experience of working with the general public in a customer care role.
