Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our CQC-regulated service across the North East region. This role offers the opportunity to manage a high-quality, person-centred care service that supports adults with diverse needs, including complex care, dementia, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions.
The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience across both supported living and domiciliary care services, with the ability to balance operational delivery, compliance, and staff development. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, ensuring regulatory excellence, and working collaboratively with service users, families, staff, commissioners, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of both supported living and domiciliary services, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care.
* Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, including preparation for inspections, audits, and the implementation of quality improvement plans.
* Recruit, train, and supervise a skilled, motivated care team, fostering a culture of professionalism, inclusion, and accountability.
* Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (or support in this role), embedding robust safeguarding, risk management, and incident reporting practices.
* Oversee assessments, support planning, and regular reviews to achieve personalised outcomes that promote independence and wellbeing.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with service users, families, local authorities, NHS partners, and other stakeholders.
* Monitor and report on performance against KPIs, contracts, and framework requirements, ensuring financial and operational sustainability.
* Maintain accurate digital records and ensure data protection compliance using systems such as Nourish, BrightHR, and Croneri.
Requirements
Essential
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or currently working towards).
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior management role within both supported living and domiciliary settings.
* Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding processes, and person-centred care.
* Proven leadership, staff management, and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
* Right to work in the UK, with a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
* Experience in complex care, reablement, or transitions into independent living.
* Knowledge of North Yorkshire care frameworks and commissioning requirements.
* Familiarity with digital compliance systems (e.g., Nourish, BrightHR).
* Additional training in safeguarding, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), or mental health.
