Registered Nurse - Manchester MSTHF + Welcome Payment
To provide a comprehensive physical health service as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team to patients with physical health needs within Health & Justice. In conjunction with the management team, contribute to and deliver a comprehensive Primary Health Service in partnership with mental health and key stakeholders as part of a multidisciplinary team within the prison setting.
This role involves undertaking health assessments, administering medication and treatments, performing diagnostic tests as appropriate, and providing and evaluating a range of health interventions to meet prisoner health and social care needs.
The welcome payment is payable to new candidates joining Spectrum Community Health CIC.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to work flexibly across the service to provide responsive, evidence-based interventions.
Assess individuals that come in and out of the Short Term Holding Facility. Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and understanding of health issues and treatment options, with a keen interest in developing knowledge and skills across the integrated services.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered General Nurse Level 1
* Evidence of ongoing CPD and delivery of evidence-based care
* Independent Nurse / Supplementary / Non-Medical Prescriber qualification or willingness to undertake
* Appropriate management qualification or equivalent experience
* RCGP Cert 1/2 Primary Care/LTC qualification
Experience
* Significant experience working in a complex environment with multidisciplinary professionals, demonstrating effective communication and leadership skills
* Experience of clinical governance used to improve patient care
* Experience working as an autonomous practitioner
* Experience leading a team and effectively using policy and procedures to improve clinical and professional standards
* Experience of multidisciplinary/multi-agency working
* Understanding and application of confidentiality
* Experience working within Health & Justice
* Experience in primary care/substance misuse/acute care
* Understanding of local and national key documents and their impact on healthcare delivery in a prison setting
