About the role:
We are currently seeking a 'people person' who is confident using and learning about technologies that can help people stay safe and independent in their homes individual to join our team as a Technology Enabled Care Support Installer. Technology Enabled Care Services is a small and friendly team, based at Cimla, Neath. This is a community facing role and requires that you have the ability to travel throughout the County Borough area.
As a Technology Enabled Care Support Installer, you will undertake installations, maintenance and decommission of digital and Technology Enabled Care in a range of settings including private dwellings, public residential and other community spaces to promote the adoption of technology for prevention and early intervention purposes. As part of this work, they will support individuals to get the most out of their technology, supporting digital skills they need to use technology confidently and effectively.
Your daily routine will:
Be using small power tools if and when required (eg handheld drill)
Be working in a customer service & customer focused environment
Consist of dealing with sensitive issues in a caring & compassionate manner
About you:
Do you have:
A minimum of 4 GCSEs (Grade A $ú C) which must include English language or the Welsh equivalent
NVQ II or equivalent in Technology Enabled Care or Care
OR
Evidence of substantial experience in a relevant role / lived in experience
*There are no formal qualifications required for this role, as full training will be provided
We would welcome those with experience in the following roles Technology Enabled Care/Customer Service/Care.
Your workstyle will be a mobile hybrid worker in this role which gives you the flexibility to work from home and from a variety of Council workplaces.
