Overview
We are seeking a self employed skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and assembly, with a focus on precision and quality in all aspects of joinery work. This role requires proficiency with both hand and power tools, as well as an understanding of various construction techniques. The Joiner will be responsible for creating and installing wooden structures, fittings, and fixtures, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards.
Must be able to drive and have own transport
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture.
* Perform joinery tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Carry out roofing tasks as needed, ensuring structural integrity.
* Assist with construction painting to enhance the aesthetic appeal of finished projects.
* Engage in heavy lifting when required to move materials or complete installations.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including plumbers, electricians, and masons.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Experience
* Proven experience in carpentry and joinery is essential.
* Familiarity with fabrication techniques and assembly processes.
* Competence in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, and drills.
* Experience with power tools including routers, sanders, and nail guns.
* Knowledge of roofing practices is advantageous.
* Understanding of plumbing basics is beneficial for integrated projects.
* Experience in masonry work can be an asset for certain tasks.
