Senior Speech and Language Therapist
Cheswold Park Hospital (South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust) is seeking an experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist to provide high quality community-based services in Barnsley. The role is funded through the NHS Agenda for Change – Band 6 with a salary of £38,682 to £46,580 per year.

Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver individual and group Speech and Language Therapy programmes for adults with communication difficulties and dysphagia.
* Maintain high quality clinical records and provide timely reports to support service planning.
* Contribute to multidisciplinary team reviews and case conferences.
* Provide clinical advice, assessment, diagnosis and treatment, and supervise junior staff, assistants and students.
* Design, write, deliver and evaluate specialised training for carers, non‑clinical staff and external professionals.
* Lead quality improvement activities, data collection and analysis to inform service development.
* Ensure practice is consistent with Trust policies and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy (RCSLT) guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Speech and Language Pathology and Therapy (or equivalent).
* RCSLT Certificate to practice as a Speech and Language Therapist.
* Post‑graduate certificate in dysphagia.
* Current registration with the Health Professions Council.
* Previous experience working with adults experiencing communication difficulties and dysphagia in a community setting.
* Demonstrated competence in assessment, diagnosis and management of these conditions.
* Experience coordinating and supervising the work of other professionals.
* Proven ability to develop, write, deliver and evaluate training packages.
