Job Description: Optical Branch Manager
Are you an experienced Dispensing Optician searching for a new and exciting opportunity in management?
I am working with an independant family owned company who beleive their people are the key to their success, and are actively searching for a Branch Manager to join their team situated in Winchester. This is a full time position, and will include Saturday working.
My client is a retail opticians and audiology business, founded in 1928 and have grown to have 35 stores, all special and unique – 25 fully owned, 7 franchised, 2 co-owned and 1 business operating under its own name.
Job Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily operations and management of the optical branch
* Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction
* Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve branch targets
* Manage and train a team of optical staff
* Schedule and coordinate staff shifts and assignments
* Monitor and maintain inventory levels
* Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
* Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations
* Generate sales reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement
* Collaborate with other branches and departments to optimize overall business performance
Essential Qualifications:
* Previous experience in optical retail or management role
* Qualified Dispensing Optician
* Fully Registered with the GOC
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Excellent customer service abilities
* Knowledge of optical products, services, and industry trends
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
* Proficient in computer software and basic financial management
* Attention to detail and organizational skills
