About the Role
Join our Special Events team supporting the Metropolitan Police Service. You'll play a key role in deploying and collecting traffic management signage and equipment for major events. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that requires flexibility and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deploy and collect traffic management equipment and temporary signage.
2. Deliver and operate equipment such as tents, generators, lighting, and trailer-mounted VMS units.
3. Assist with general maintenance and fabrication in the workshop.
4. Deliver furniture and white goods to MPS premises.
5. Complete vehicle checks and maintain tools and equipment.
6. Submit accurate documentation (work sheets, time sheets).
7. Support other trades within the MitieFM MPS contract.
8. Undertake training and share knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements
9. Proven experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
10. Completed or in-progress CPC modules; LGV 2 licence advantageous.
11. Chapter 8 Sign, Light & Guard certification desirable.
12. Ability to pass CTC Police clearance.
13. Strong commitment to Health & Safety for yourself and others.
