About the Role This remote position is ideal for a talented developer with skills in at least one programming language and knowledge of security, who wants to transition into a more security-focused role. Youll be hands-on with cutting-edge DevSecOps technologies, working alongside senior engineers on diverse projects that span development, operations, and security. This role offers a unique opportunity to build a highly sought-after, niche skill set at the intersection of these disciplines. Progression within this role includes the opportunity for upskilling into WebApp penetration testing with support and training available to support this progression. This is a remote position, with the very occasional requirement to travel to our North Yorkshire offices, industry events and potentially client sites. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance security-focused applications and tooling. Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot, debug, and write clean, scalable code. Implement development, testing and automation tools, as well as IT infrastructure. Continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes. Work across multiple projects, including client-facing engagements. Provide innovative and robust solutions to complex, cutting-edge challenges. Support the Web Application Penetration Testing Team on code assisted web application tests. Who we are looking for Technical Essential skills Strong development skills inat least one programming language(e.g. Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, Go) Solid understanding ofcloud security principles and architecture(e.g. AWS well-architected framework) Knowledge of modernprogramming frameworks(e.g. React, Node.js, .NET, Django, etc.) Experience withcontainerisation technologies(Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) Akeen eye for detailand high standards for code quality and security Demonstratedpassion for securityand development Personal Essential: Aclear passion for development and security- if you have any personal projects or activities you've done outside of work/studies, it would be great to hear about them! (eg. Hack the box, development projects, CTFs etc) Aneagerness to expand your security knowledge. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under deadline. Adaptability, an eagerness andwillingness to learn, and a strong customer-focused mindset. Communicationand customer service skills. The ability to manage your own workflow and time.
