About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer to cover a patch in Wiltshire/Swindon on a temporary basis for a maternity cover.
The Housing Officer is a key role within the Localities structure, providing essential services to our customers and to other teams within GreenSquareAccord.
This position is customer-facing, with direct responsibilities for Tenancy Management. You will report to a Locality Manager within a Localities team.
As a Housing Officer, you will investigate and take action against cases of anti-social behaviour, tenancy fraud, risk, and suspected property abandonment, acting swiftly and in line with our policies and procedures.
This role will also include conducting tenancy audit visits, managing general tenancy responsibilities, safeguarding, and supporting other teams as needed.
You will independently manage anti-social behaviour cases proactively, working alongside our specialist Tenancy Enforcement Team.

About you
Essential: You should have a good general or technical education beyond GCSEs (e.g., 2 or more A-Levels/NVQ3), with strong vocabulary, verbal reasoning, and numerical skills.
You must have knowledge and experience of housing and tenancy law, including succession, mutual exchange, assignments, and ending tenancies. Experience in tenancy management, safeguarding, and enforcement is also required.
Experience in preparing and serving legal documents (e.g., Acceptable Behaviour Agreements, Notices of Seeking Possession, Notices to Quit) and producing witness statements is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
Desirable: Membership of the CIH and holding a housing or related qualification.
Evidence of relevant certificates and qualifications will be required upon appointment; without this, employment cannot commence.
