We're currently recruiting for an Employment Adviser to join our team. You will provide advice and support to help participants overcome barriers to employment and achieve realistic job goals. Your responsibilities will include managing a caseload of participants, acting as their coach and mentor, and building strong, positive relationships to guide, motivate, challenge, and encourage them towards sustainable employment.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be target-driven, and a motivational adviser. You should possess a high level of initiative and motivation, with the ability to seek solutions to problems and work under pressure without day-to-day supervision. We value candidates who can provide first-class customer service and are committed to empowering lives and improving communities.
This role allows you to utilize your skills to support and influence others' futures and to contribute to our organization's mission. We deliver a range of Employability & Health contracts supporting unemployed individuals back to work, and this position is part of our Restart Scheme.
Responsibilities include:
1. Organising and conducting job-search activities.
2. Identifying potential barriers to employment.
3. Ensuring employability tools such as CVs, cover letters, and speculative letters are in place.
Requirements:
* Excellent communication skills and a people-oriented approach.
* Good knowledge of the local labour market.
* Basic understanding of self-employment.
* IT literacy, including Microsoft Office.
* Experience in a target-driven environment and delivering services meeting contractual and quality standards.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of the employability and recruitment industries.
* Experience working with 'information, advice & guidance' services.
* Full driving license.
* Disability Confident status.
