The Nelson Trust is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Trustee to join our Board and support our mission to transform the lives of those affected by addiction, trauma, and complex needs. With a national and international reputation for excellence, The Nelson Trust provides life‑changing residential addiction treatment and specialist women’s services. Our Women’s Centres across Gloucester, Swindon, Somerset, Bristol and Wales offer a unique “one‑stop‑shop” model supporting women with multiple disadvantages, including those within the criminal justice system. We are looking for individuals with senior leadership experience or interest in: Development projects and estates Commissioned contracts with government departments Experience of the nature of our work, lived experience related to our work is also warmly welcomed As a Trustee, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our strategy, ensuring resources are used wisely, and helping us remain at the forefront of innovative, trauma‑informed support. We’re seeking people with strategic vision, independent judgement, and creative thinking.
