Livestock Manager – Beef & Dairy - £52,000 + Subsidised Accommodation + Benefits
The Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Livestock Manager – Beef & Dairy to join a progressive, regenerative mixed farming business in North Nottinghamshire. This hands-on role involves managing a team of four, overseeing daily operations and long-term planning for a livestock enterprise. You will collaborate with the farm owner/director and veterinary team to develop work plans and implement operational procedures, taking full responsibility for animal welfare, record keeping, vet & med stock management, feed inventories, and fencing.
The Company:
A family-run, mixed farming business operating across 2000 hectares, finishing Angus/Hereford dairy crosses annually. The farm employs regenerative practices, producing high-welfare livestock on herbal leys, forage crops, and rotational grazing, with finishing indoors on a TMR system. Facilities include modern handling yards, silage clamps, and finishing facilities. The company fosters a supportive environment with a strong team culture and has received industry recognition.
The Candidate:
* Previous livestock management experience essential
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Proactive, hands-on attitude with attention to animal welfare and detail
* Competent in record keeping and vet & med management
* Fencing, stockmanship, and machinery skills preferred
* Interest in regenerative, mixed farming systems beneficial
* Ability to plan and implement SOPs and work schedules
