Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanic and Tester to join our team. MOT licence is not essential but highly recommended. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental standards. As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and tests on various vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy and compliant with regulations.
Duties
* Conduct MOT tests on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring adherence to legal requirements.
* Inspect vehicle components such as brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
* Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and assess vehicle performance.
* Document test results accurately and provide clear feedback to customers regarding any necessary repairs or maintenance.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working order.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Skills
* Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle systems and components.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during vehicle inspections and repairs.
