My client is a family-owned modular building business based in Coventry. Established in 2003, thepany has successfully delivered 100s of modular, eco-friendly buildings across the public and private sectors, with the majority being in the education sector.
Your new role
As a Senior Architect, you will play a key role in leading architectural design and delivery across a range of modular building projects. Based at the Coventry head office, you will supervise and mentor the architectural team, manage projects from concept topletion, and contribute to the development of sustainable, high-quality design solutions.Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading and mentoring the architectural team
2. Managing the design process in line with the RIBA Plan of Work
3. Preparingpliant designs aligned with UK Construction Law and British Standards
4. Advising on material specification with sustainability and durability in mind
5. Authoring specifications and sourcing technical information
6. Supporting statutory submissions including Planning and Building Regulations
7. Coordinating pre-construction information and design risk management
8. Assisting with budget design and value engineering
9. Participating in project reviews and cross-team coordination
10. Ensuring document controlpliance and quality assurance
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
11. ARB registration or CIAT chartership with 10+ years post-chartered UK experience
12. Strong cross-sector experience, ideally in education (DFE framework), withmercial or leisure projects as a plus
13. Proficiency in BIM Level 2 workflows and environments
14. Proven leadership in managing multipleplex projects
15. Excellentmunication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
16. Familiarity with design software including Lumion, Photoshop, InDesign, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
17. Understanding of NBS/Uniclass Specification software
18. Knowledge of Passivhaus principles and timber frame construction (advantageous)
