As a Senior Procurement Manager for the Project Procurement team (P-PROC) you will partner our suppliers and enable MBDA to provide world‑leading defence capabilities for our Home Nations and their Allies.
Salary: Circa £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
Work arrangement: Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1‑2 days per week on‑site due to workload classification, plus travel between sites.
Security clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. Successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) clearance.

Responsibilities
* Manage a team of procurement specialists, ensuring compliance to functional requirements and liaising with project representatives.
* Support the team to subcontract suppliers and enable MBDA to provide world‑leading defence capabilities.
* Deliver and line‑manage a portfolio of in‑service support projects.
* Negotiate supplier contracts and craft key contractual terms with critical suppliers.
* Provide procurement support to technical and project teams within MBDA at senior levels.
* Lead through subcontracts and obligations across the entire life cycle of missiles and missile systems, project‑managing on‑time, on‑cost, on‑quality delivery of high‑value and sophisticated sub‑systems.
* Provide commercial guidance to internal customers and manage risk and opportunity to safeguard MBDA’s interests.
* Collaborate within a team‑focused environment where multitasking and procedural rigour are essential.
Qualifications
* Strong organisational skills and appetite for procedural rigour.
* Proven experience in procurement subcontract management, negotiation, contract authoring, and tendering.
* High integrity standards for due‑diligence, authorisation & release process controls.
* Ability to resolve opposing views, find resolution and negotiate mutually agreeable positions.
* Excellent service, support, and cooperation to senior internal and external customers.
* Capability to continually improve opportunities, analyse situations, and present possibilities while balancing risk.
* Experience in new business tendering and competitive procurement tendering.
* Willingness to travel to suppliers in the UK, Europe, and potentially internationally.
