Overview
Join our team at Terex and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated Design Engineer to contribute to the Terex Washing Design Team. Based in Farlough, you’ll play a pivotal role in our washing engineering team.
Responsibilities
* Provide engineered solutions for the development of new products and modifications to existing products.
* Produce full manufacturing drawings and Engineering BOM’s.
* To resolve problems at the root cause quickly and effectively and manage engineering change process relating to our equipment.
* Follow Group standards of in the areas of QFD, FMEA, design-for-manufacture, prototype development and field testing
* Follow Group engineering standards and associated IT systems, to ensure effective global management of released engineering data
* Ensure current and new products meet standards and performance levels specified for safety, function and reliability.
* Reduce manufacturing cost through improved design and consultation with the production department, purchasing and suppliers.
* To investigate and address Customer Complaints in a timely manner.
* Drive standardization of components and sub-assemblies within washing products.
* Stay knowledgeable of washing equipment component advancements and competitor design trends; apply latest technology to new and existing designs where appropriate to stay current and innovative.
Qualifications
* Degree educated or equivalent experience in Engineering
* Experience Level: Design experience ideally in washing, or mobile crushing & screening industry or heavy equipment design.
Technical Skills & Capabilities
* Competent user of 3D Solid Modeling CAD, ideally Pro-Engineer and familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
* Good technical expertise in mechanical and hydraulic systems
* A good understanding of the various applications that the equipment can operate in along with an appreciation for the expected performance of the equipment.
* Creativity and innovative thinking
* Experience with Oracle TMS is advantageous
* Good English communication skill, both written and spoken.
* Good Presentation and interpersonal skills.

* A “Can do” attitude and ability to interact with a multi-functional team.
* Ability to work with others to meet deadlines.
* Able to assess workload and commit to realistic timelines.
* Able to select from multiple design alternatives when a clear best choice is not evident.
* Able to investigate root cause of machinery non performance.
* Can identify risks both technical and commercial with proposed product change or new product
* Position is based in Dungannon, N. Ireland.
