We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join a well-established, growing, family-run SME based in Stockport. Reporting to the Operations Director you will implement the right processes and practices across the organization.
Key duties and responsibilities....
* Lead, manage, and mentor a team of operations staff, providing direction, support, and performance feedback.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as production, supply chain, quality assurance, and customer service to streamline processes and enhance overall performance.
* Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet production schedules, customer demands, and inventory levels.
* Oversee inventory management to ensure accurate tracking, minimize stockouts, and optimize inventory turnover.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implementing and promoting a culture of safety within the team.
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to contribute ideas for enhancing operational processes.
* Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners to ensure timely deliveries and quality products.
* Prepare operational reports and present insights to Operations Director, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
* Collaborate on the development and execution of long-term operational strategies to support the company's growth and expansion plans.
Requirements
* 5-10 years of proven experience in operations management, with a track record of successful process optimization and team leadership.
* Strong understanding of operational principles, supply chain management, and quality assurance.
* Proficiency in using data analysis and KPIs to drive operational decisions and improvements.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
* Proficient in using operational software and tools, such as ERP systems and data analytics platforms.
* Hands on approach
* Experience in Bathrooms / fit-out industry desirable (not essential)
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm / Friday 3pm finish
