As a Bid Writer you will support delivery of high-quality, compliant and compelling bid submissions across public and private sector opportunities, contributing to framework success and revenue growth by ensuring submissions are well-structured, evidence-based and aligned to customer requirements.
Role Details
* Annual salary of up to £33,000, plus potential annual-on-target bonus of up to 5% subject to business performance
* Role based: York, YO32 9PT - Office based during probation, on successful completion the role will be hybrid
* Contract type: Permanent
* Annual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year.
In this role you will be required to
* Draft, edit and format bid responses in line with submission requirements
* Tailor responses to customer requirements, ensuring clarity, compliance and persuasive messaging
* Incorporate case studies, evidence and data into submissions
* Support development of compliance matrices and ensure all submission requirements are addressed
* Assist in quality assurance reviews prior to submission
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Design, Operations, Commercial) to gather technical and commercial inputs
* Maintain an organised library of project data, case studies and testimonials
* Support management of bid timelines, actions, version control and submission schedules

Our Ideal Candidate
* Educated to degree level (ideally in English, Journalism or Communications), or equivalent relevant experience (desirable)
* Proficient in using Microsoft packages including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Experience of using AI/Co-Pilot would be beneficial
* Understanding (or willingness to learn) public sector procurement processes (PQQ, ITT, frameworks)
* Awareness of construction or modular building environments (desirable)
* Familiarity with document management systems (e.g. SharePoint)
* Understanding of compliance-based submissions
