About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate leader to join us at our Skegness Resort as part of our Shops team. As a Venue Manager, you’ll be vital in helping our guest’s create smiles – getting stuck in to give them a great dining experience! You’ll be part of a big team of people who are responsible for providing our guests with an altogether more fun and entertaining holiday.You should enjoy developing people and be passionate about delivering exceptional experiences to guests by nurturing, training and coaching the team in a fun-filled environment.You will drive standards and have the ability to lead the team to excellence, incorporating all brand standards and Butlin’s way of workingReporting to the Head of Department, you’ll enjoy the buzz of a busy environment and will drive your team to maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness. You’ll have the ability to drive consistent brand standards whilst being guest obsessed and operating efficiently in everything you do. The role will also involve analysing KPI’s and stock control systems to maximise gross profit margins and adhering to food safety and health & safety policies. You should have a real passion for leading by example and inspiring others to deliver experiences that truly delight our guests. You should be an advocate for your team’s fulfilment at work, ensuring that you are having regular 's and PDP discussions to support their development and career with Butlin’s. As with all roles at Butlin’s, no day will be the same and you will need to enjoy thinking on your feet, getting stuck in, and ensuring that our guest experience is always your number one priority. Key responsibilities Accountable for the day-to-day operation within your venue Full responsibility for the venue, monitoring consistent delivery of a quality guest experience in line with brand/venue guidelines. Ensure all guest feedback is captured, trends analysed and opportunities explored. Monitor P&L and payroll spend and take action when risk arises. Provides accurate rota’s 3 weeks in advance through SAM for all team within the venue and takes accountability for ensuring the accuracy of closing the system. Monitors NPS and takes action where possible on guest feedback. Inspire action and ownership within your team for delivery of the departmental plan by breaking it down into measurable objectives. Be a champion of the Butlin’s Values and Leadership Behaviours. Ensure we always have a focus on RPRRT in the way we recruit and manage contracts for team. Build and maintain strong relationships across the resort, other resorts, and Butlins central support teams. Monitor team retention, utilising exit interviews as an opportunity to retain or gain feedback, to address opportunities to increase retention scores. Accountable for people management of the department, including all people tasks from onboarding through the employee life cycle. Employee life cycle refers to PDP’s, performance management, required training, and any formal HR process.
