A leading Mechanical Contractor based in Newry and Dublin is currently recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Construction Division. This award-winning contractor works within the residential andmercial sectors on various medium-large schemes in ROI and NI.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage allmercial aspects of projects, including cost control, budget management, and subcontractor management.
2. Conduct accurate and detailed cost estimates, procurement, and tender processes.
3. Collaborate with project teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
4. Identify and mitigatemercial risks while maximising project profitability.
5. Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
6. Monitor project financial performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
8. Mentor and support junior members of themercial team.
What you'll need to succeed
9. Minimum of 5+ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.
10. Strong understanding of contracts and relevant regulations.
11. Experience working in the M&E industry or main contractor
12. Excellent negotiation andmunication skills.
13. Proficiency in cost estimation and financial analysis.
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
15. Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
16. RICS membership would be desirable but not essential.
17. A clean UK/ROI driver licence andfortable travelling to sites in the Greater Dublin area.
