The newly founded centre, Great British Chemicals, co‑led by the University of Sheffield, University of Nottingham and Newcastle University, is looking for an executive assistant to support Nottingham’s GBC lead and Principal Investigator Professor Mike George, based in the School of Chemistry. The team is looking for a proactive and highly organised executive assistant to support coordinating activities between Professor Mike George and partners to ensure good communication and delivery of research projects.
Provide essential administrative and financial support to the Principal Investigator and project team. Manage schedules, prepare reports, and assist with document preparation. Organise logistics including travel bookings for Professor George and other members of the research group, booking venues, sending agendas, and managing meeting reminders.
Support communication with external stakeholders, gather and summarise feedback from project partners in response to requests, follow up with partners to ensure timely and complete responses, and keep up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant systems and processes.
Part‑time position, 18 hours per week. Fixed term ending 31 July 2032. The role is available to start immediately.
