Financial Controller - Manufacturing - South Coast
Robert Half have exclusively engaged with a global manufacturing group that has strong investor backing and an appetite for growth. Due to an exciting period of growth, they now seek to recruit an energetic, driven and commercially astute financial controller to work alongside a highly experienced and inspirational Finance Director.
SCOPE OF THE ROLE:
1. Lead the finance team in its preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reporting requirements both at a local and group level
2. Preparation, analysis and review of internal management information
3. Develop and support business performance and strive for continuous improvement
4. Drive accountability in the Finance team and across the wider business
5. Opportunity to be part of transformational and reporting changes in Finance and across the business
6. Deputise for Finance Director
CORE DUTIES:
7. Lead the Finance team's preparation of the monthly actuals and ensure timely submission into Group
8. Ensure the timely preparation and submission of Quarterly and Full Year requests and disclosures for group reporting purposes
9. Business partner with Business Unit Managers and other key stakeholders
10. Maintain a strong control environment through Company policy adherence and drive implementation of process improvements and efficiencies
11. Support Value Driver reporting and initiatives
12. Play an active role in supporting continuous improvement initiatives, business change programs and other projects
13. Support and manage the finance team at our international facilities
14. Support Finance Director in shaping finance department and building a high performing team
15. Support the Finance Team and Business with any ad-hoc duties/projects
16. Understand manufacturing processes, being visible on the factory shop floor
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
17. Qualified accountant (certified or chartered)
18. Must be open to progression VP Finance role or equivalent
19. Sound knowledge of tax reporting and statutory reporting.
20. Experience of designing and implementing process improvements & controls in line with industry best practice
21. Proven team building and team leadership skills
22. Good knowledge of business operations, and processes
23. Advanced Excel skills with experience of other office packages such as Word & PowerPoint and Outlook
24. Manufacturing experience would be an advantage
25. Experience in a finance role within an international environment

26. A highly competitive base salary of between £70,000 - 75,000 P/A based on the candidates experience
