Senior Multi Discipline Support Engineer
Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Multi-Discipline Support Engineer to support our client’s Operations and Maintenance team on a fixed‑term contract basis. Hybrid working – 3 days working from client’s site at Barrow‑In‑Furness, Cumbria.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and manage equipment/system performance ensuring reliable, efficient operation.
* Provide discipline engineering support to assets and asset maintenance engineers.
* Prepare and review technical controlling documents.
* Set and review equipment maintenance strategies.
* Collaborate closely with the Technical function.
Key Responsibilities
* Accountable for the delivery and quality of Instrument / Mechanical equipment.
* Accountable for Instruments engineering MOCs and resulting modifications; ‘customer’ for engineering Brownfield modifications projects, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery that meets asset requirements.
* Deliver clear direction and assurance for compliance with statutory legislation on Major Accident Hazard management.
* Recommend and execute Instrument improvement initiatives and engineering studies on behalf of the asset.
* Provide optimised preventative maintenance programmes for Instruments equipment.
* Manage equipment performance, spare part management and warranty follow‑up.
* Manage relevant support contracts.
* Ensure performance standards are accurate and adhered to via the Inspection, Test and Maintenance programme.
* Assure regulatory compliance, adhere to standards and implement industry best practice.
* Act as JRE to the Shutdown manager for HTAS Mechanical Shutdown work and special assignments.
* Provide support to Maintenance Leads.
Qualifications
* HNC in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
* Professional accreditation with proven experience and competency.
* Extensive knowledge of Maintenance and Operations activities on H2S Plants.
* Considerable relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, predominantly gained in Design, Construction, Commissioning, Close‑Out, Production Operations and Maintenance environments.
* Good working knowledge and application of UK oil and gas industry regulations.
* Familiarity with quality processes and continuous improvement tools is desirable.
* Knowledge of all forms of engineering documentation.
* Extensive knowledge of Control Systems, F&G, ESD Foundation, Field Bus PLC’s.
* Perform DCS Configuration Modifications to approved MOC.
* Experience working with CMMS (SAP).
