Be a part of it.We are looking for an Operations Director to join the Healthcare North Senior Management Team, to provide leadership across the North East & Scotland region.As Operations Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care across your portfolio of services. Reporting to the Divisional Managing Director, you will play a key role in shaping the performance, culture, and growth of the region — supporting Hospital managers and teams to achieve outstanding outcomes for the people we support. Central to your leadership approach will be a commitment to compassionate leadership and a just culture, ensuring that colleagues feel supported, valued and empowered to learn and improve.You will be responsible for:Providing visible leadership and operational oversight across six healthcare services in the North East & Scotland.Ensuring services meet regulatory and contractual requirements, maintaining compliance with CQC/HIS and other relevant standards.Oversee and drive achievement of critical business KPIs, implementing initiatives to improve productivity, quality, safety and financial performance.Supporting Hospital managers to develop strong, motivated teams that deliver excellence in care and experience.Driving and embedding a Just culture approach across the regionLeading on service development, performance management, and stakeholder engagement across the region.Building and developing productive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersContributing to divisional strategy and decision-making as a key member of the Healthcare North Division Senior Management Team.About you:We’re looking for someone who brings a strong blend of operational acumen, strategic thinking, and a genuine commitment to quality care.You will have:Experience in a mental health care management / leadership roleExperience in working in the independent healthcare sector or NHSA good knowledge of the CQC and HIS regulatory framework and relevant experience.Excellent people management and communication skills.Strong financial management, performance, and service development experience.The ability to lead through influence, collaboration, and integrity.Flexible and able to travel to meet the requirements of the roleWhy Cygnet?
