Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to work on projects that genuinely make a difference?
At Dalkia UK, we deliver innovative decarbonisation and energy transition projects that support our clients on their journey to net zero. We're looking for a QS to join one of our regional delivery teams, working across the Midlands and North.
Reporting to a Regional Commercial Manager, you'll be part of a collaborative and supportive commercial team where your expertise and input are truly valued.
The role
You'll take ownership of the commercial, financial and contractual performance of your projects, including:
Managing and controlling the commercial and contractual elements of projects
Producing accurate commercial reports, forecasts and cost/value reconciliations
Preparing timely and accurate client valuations
Leading subcontract procurement and preparing subcontracts in line with company standards
Managing subcontract accounts, variations and change control
Administering commercial obligations in line with client contracts
Working closely with operations and design teams to identify risks and maximise opportunities
Supporting effective change management
Liaising with Commercial Managers and Project Directors on contractual matters
Attending project and company meetings
Building strong client relationships to support successful delivery and future opportunities

What we're looking for
Essential:
A collaborative team player with strong communication and analytical skills
Ability to work to deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs
A recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying (BSc, MSc, HND or equivalent)
At least 3 years' experience in a QS role
Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and Word
Desirable:
Working towards or holding professional membership (RICS, CICES or CIOB)
Experience within a main contracting or subcontracting environment
Background in M&E, MEP, building refurbishment or civil engineering
Experience managing multiple subcontractors
Experience on projects valued between £2m–£20m
Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts
Experience with cost management systems such as Navision, Oracle, SAP or COINS
