Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting dentists during various procedures. This part-time position (2 days per week) requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment for our patients.
Duties
* Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
* Provide chairside support, ensuring patient comfort and understanding throughout procedures.
* Maintain accurate patient records and update dental charts as required.
* Sterilise instruments and manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
* Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures.
* Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient queries, and processing paperwork efficiently.
* Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
Skills
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
* Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
* Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems.
* Previous experience as a nurse or in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential.
* A genuine passion for patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
