To teach and assess across a range of courses within the teaching department and act as a course tutor to groups of students. The post involves duties aligned with the College Quality Improvement, Key Performance Indicators, and College strategic priorities, as well as the College Teaching, Learning and Assessment standards. The role may include taking on an additional responsibility at Programme Lead level, subject to review.
The responsibility will be reviewed annually during the performance development review (PDR) process.

Key Duties
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across courses, meeting college standards and awarding body expectations.
* Carry out and record initial assessments and diagnostics to inform individual learning plans.
* Mark and assess student work promptly according to policy, outside classroom hours.
* Contribute to developing employability skills through partnerships with employers where appropriate.

Person Specification
Essential Requirements
* Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or willingness to achieve within a set timeframe.
* Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* Teaching qualification to Level 5 or working towards it.
* Experience in vocational teaching roles.
* Ability to deliver effective teaching and maintain accurate records.
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, and motivational skills.
* Interest in educational initiatives and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* Experience in course tutorship and FE/HE programs.
* Knowledge of ILT techniques and current departmental initiatives.
* Experience in IV/IQA planning and assessment; Assessor Awards desirable.
