The Role:
We are seeking experienced Hydraulic / Fluid Power Service Technicians to join our Portland, Melbourne, and Brisbane branches in Australia to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Duties
The key responsibilities include:
* Using testing equipment to diagnose, repair, and maintain fluid power components and systems
* Overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
* Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, including overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
* Diagnosing and recommending solutions to fluid power problems
* Identifying and repairing fluid power components such as pumps, cylinders, valves, reservoirs, motors, accumulators, hose fittings, and filters
* Reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics
* Installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
* Ensuring all work complies with health, safety, environment, and quality standards
* Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including site owner representatives
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
To succeed, candidates should have:
* A trade qualification as a fitter or equivalent with hydraulic experience
* Experience in hydraulic hose assemblies, tube manufacture, and installation
* Formal fluid power post-trade training or relevant industry experience (highly regarded)
* A strong safety focus
* The ability to pass pre-employment medicals
