To support service growth and reduce reliance on locum cover, we are recruiting two full-time employed Consultant Anaesthetists to join our permanent medical workforce.
The Role
You will work as part of a stable, consultant-led anaesthetic team supporting elective operating lists and limited on-call cover.
Job Plan (40 hours/week):
9 clinical sessions (4 hours each) - Elective theatre lists and day-case activity
1 on-call / availability session - Low-intensity, rota-based cover
Predictable weekly schedule with minimal disruption
This is a non-resident on-call model, designed to support patient safety while maintaining work-life balance.
Remuneration Package
We offer a top-quartile employed package designed to attract and retain experienced consultants.
Salary
Base salary: £140,000 per annum
On-call availability supplement: £15,000 per annum
Performance / contribution bonus: up to £15,000 per annum
Total on-target earnings: £150,000 + benefits

Requirements
GMC-registered Consultant Anaesthetist
Experience in elective private-sector practice desirable (but not essential)
Commitment to high-quality, efficient theatre practice
Team-focused approach with interest in service stability and development
This post would suit a recently retired experienced Consultant or a consultant wanting a predictable long term role
