The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils access learning and develop both academically and socially. You may be supporting children with: Autism (ASC) ADHD Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs Speech, language, and communication needs Complex or behavioural challenges Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 and small group support Assisting with classroom activities and learning plans Supporting behaviour management strategies Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence Maintaining a safe and supportive environment What We’re Looking For Experience working with children or young people (school, care, or similar setting) A patient, calm, and resilient approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Experience in SEND is highly desirable, but not essential for the right candidate.
