Introduction
Are you an experienced CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist looking for either a full-time or part-time opportunity? Join Brighton and Hove Clinic, a specialist inpatient eating disorder service for children and young people aged 12 to 18 years. You will be part of a supportive and experienced team providing Tier 4 inpatient services, delivering evidence-based and tailored treatment programs for each young person.
You will be registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a license to practice and experience in CAMHS Eating Disorders, leading multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload as Responsible Clinician (RC) of the ward.
* Participate in the assessment and management of referred children and young people.
* Assess physical health and document findings within Carenotes and weekly ICR meetings.
* Ensure timely completion of professional reports such as ICRs, CPA, and Tribunals.
* Act as Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act.
* Attend CETRs as needed.
* Provide leadership, supervision, reflection, and risk management to key workers.
* Participate in the CAMHS Consultant on-call rota.
* Engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
* Uphold principles of Clinical Governance and adhere to organizational policies.
* Participate in annual appraisals and develop Personal Development Plans.
Requirements
* Registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a license to practice.
* Experience in CAMHS eating disorders is desirable.
* Medically qualified with MRCPsych or equivalent.
* Excellent communication skills, innovative, and capable of initiating organizational change.
