Salary
£22,721.31 per annum (£12.45 per hour)
Hours
Full-time: 35 hours per week

About The Role
As a Movement and Wellbeing Instructor, you will:
* Assist with the day to day running of the Movement and Wellbeing Department and other departments as required.
* Encourage and assist the people we support to use the department's equipment and resources and to be involved in other activities such as team games and community activities, music-based activities and general wellbeing.
* Plan a varied timetable of activities both in the Jigsaw Centre and out in the community to meet the needs of the students and their learning.
* Apply creative thinking and new ideas to encourage and motivate students to achieve their goals in line with their learning and activity plan.
* Plan and think ahead about new activities to keep the department refreshed and the students interested.
* Work in conjunction with students\' key workers and families to plan activities based on their changing individual needs.
* Prepare teaching materials, individuals communication aids and planning sessions.
* Promote and sustain contacts with the local community.
* Ensure that each student's work is monitored and evaluated on an ongoing basis.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals who:
* Qualification in physical fitness and wellbeing or a keen working interest.
* PTLLS qualification or similar teaching qualification highly desirable.
* Can identify and support the needs, wishes, and aspirations of individuals with communication needs.
* Have strong communication skills and experience coordinating activities.
