About the Role
As a Contact Lens Optician, you will be a vital part of the store team. You will support our patients and customers by offering great contact lens solutions along with professional advice and guidance. You will work closely with the Optical team in store, share your knowledge and experience, and provide the very best customer care.
As part of your role, you will work as part of a team. As a professional leader, you will support and advise team members in contact lens policy and standards to ensure our patients are at the centre of our business. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Completing contact lens fittings, providing ongoing aftercare, managing your clinics effectively, and occasionally dispensing spectacles.
2. Using professional judgement for contact lens clinical decisions within the practice.
3. Supporting the team with dispensing optical solutions to a diverse range of customers, including children and those with complex prescriptions.
4. Coaching and developing Optical Consultants, with potential opportunities to supervise a Student Contact Lens Optician.
