Role Overview
Town Planner in a leading UK housebuilder team, supporting a residential development pipeline across the South East. The role involves residential‑led schemes from land acquisition through to delivery.
The Role
* Manage and support planning applications for residential development sites.
* Liaise with local planning authorities, consultants, and internal technical teams.
* Assist with site appraisals and planning strategy for potential land opportunities.
* Review planning policy and advise on development potential and risks.
* Support appeals and planning negotiations where required.
* Work closely with land, design and technical teams to deliver planning outcomes.
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in planning (private sector or local authority).
* Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI‑accredited but not essential).
* Chartered status (MRTPI) is not essential.
* Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and development management process.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
